A leisure park with a swimming pool
for dogs!
On a weekend in Picardy in August 2024, we are looking for a place where Vaika could meet other dogs. Indeed, we rarely come across any in the village where we are staying. Since Vaika is a puppy, we are keen to offer her daily interactions with her peers. After some research on the Internet, we discovered the Parc de l'Aure . We'll tell you about our experience in pictures!
The Aure Park
what is it?

Parc de l'Aure is located in the heart of the countryside in Saisseval, in the Amiens region. With a fence extending over 3000m2 and parking available on site, the dog park offers an ideal place for your four-legged friend to socialize. On site, we have a trampoline, ball pit, Agility course and even a swimming pool!
The center offers several options including educational sessions with group or individual lessons. Passing through one weekend, we opted for the "playground" option.

Friends and a first discovery of the swimming pool!
The public is mainly made up of locals: we were the only Parisians there. By chatting a little with the other owners, we realize that in the countryside, it can sometimes be more difficult to socialize a dog and offer him a variety of encounters. A park like the Aure is perfect for families wishing to meet other dogs and have a good time!
It is often thought that a garden is necessary for a dog's happiness. How many times have I heard people in the city censor themselves and not take a dog under the pretext of not having a garden. Even if it is undeniably a plus (even for us humans), the reality is that there are many dogs unhappy and alone in their garden. Some owners think that it is enough to open the door and let the dog do "its business" in the garden. It is important to understand that the garden is for the dog only an "extra room" in the house. It is important to remember that walks are necessary to allow the dog to sniff smells and meet other congeners. Of course, you have to adapt to the nature of the dog and choose the duration of the walks accordingly. There are breeds more athletic than others!
