Who are we?
My passion: traveling
Since I was little, my parents gave me a taste for travel. Not surprising with a mother who comes from Madagascar, born to an Anglo-Scottish father and a Malagasy-Chinese mother!
Before meeting my partner, I had already traveled to quite a few countries, traveling alone or with my father, often with a backpack. I had the chance to travel through Europe, the United States, Africa with Senegal, the Maghreb, Kenya, Tanzania and Burkina Faso, Asia with China, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia... Nevertheless, if I had to make a top 3, my favorites would be three extraordinary countries: India, Iran and Egypt.
It is therefore quite natural that I share with my partner this passion for travel, and this, since our meeting! In 2016, first trip, direction Madagascar so that he discovers the country of my ancestors.
Since then, we have had the chance to discover together magnificent countries like Sri Lanka, Peru, Mexico, the United States, Colombia and the United Arab Emirates... I, who was not sporty, discovered the joys of hiking alongside him, on beautiful routes, like the Stevenson trail.
April 2024, the arrival of a 4-legged traveler!
2024 is the year of change in many ways and we decide to welcome our first dog.
After reading and following many episodes of Esprit Dog (which I recommend for novices in the canine world), our choice fell on a Greyhound.
Calm and sociable by nature, despite his natural predisposition to running, he is the dog that seems to best fit our lifestyle. We live in an apartment in the city but I have the possibility of teleworking and being present during the day for this dog who loves being close to his human.
We start traveling from her first year: the idea is to make her discover as many different places as possible so that she feels comfortable everywhere. In Paris, she accompanies us everywhere and particularly appreciates the terraces: she is curious and likes to observe what is around her. We discover the joy of being "dog parents".
Metro, train, boat, plane...Vaika will take all means of transport!
It is with joy that we open this Blog in 2025 to share our adventures with you and inspire other dog owners to travel with their companion.
